Our innovative team at zymbl have managed to develop a product that will revolutionise the recreational fishing industry.
There has been very few changes of any major consequence in this industry for many years. We, at zymbl are all very keen fisherman both in fresh water and seawater and we easily identify with areas that may need enhancing to improve the fishing opportunities. We have spent many hours developing ideas and concepts that will enhance any keen fisherman’s experience, in the pursuit of that trophy fish or the thrill of fighting to catch your targeted species. Our innovative team at zymbl have managed to develop a product that will revolutionise the recreational fishing industry. Our innovative team at zymbl have managed to develop a product that will revolutionise the recreational fishing industry. Our innovative team at zymbl have managed to develop a product that will revolutionise the recreational fishing industry. Our innovative team at zymbl have managed to develop a product that will revolutionise the recreational fishing industry.
The initial area that we looked at was the large volume of lures the keen and experienced fisherman would take out on the water for a day’s recreational fishing. As the day and the currentschange we continually need to change lures to target our fish. When the fish are not biting on one lure another may get the desired result so we tend to be continually modifying our approach by cutting the line and trying on new lures.Experienced fisherman tend to carry a large selection of lures on their fishing trips so they can maximise their chances of catching fish.

In practise the lure is designed to mimic your targeted fish’s food which in most cases is a smaller swimming fish. In different conditions such as depth sunlight and water movement the food source would appear different to the fish you are targeting, hence the need to continually change the lure, to get it right.Keen fisherman have been known to carry a large number of lures on any fishing trip. Here is a small selection of lures a keen fisherman would take on the fresh water lake for an enjoyable days fishing.
These lures may range in price from $6.00 to $15.00

This selection of lures are those used by a keen fisherman to go game fishing.
The average cost of a lure may rangefrom $60.00 up to $180.00 per lure.
It would be highly likely that fisherman could carry up to 80 to 150 lures on their boats when targeting game fish. What may work in sunshine may not attract a fish when it’s cloudy. Sometimes it is a small change at the right time that will make all the difference.
On any good day fishing there is a huge amount of time, the keen fisherman spends replacing lures. It’s even more difficult when the older fisherman amongst us struggle with their eyesight and tying knots on a rocking boat.
We set about to find a solution to the problem that we have outlined. That is the amount of time we use in changing lures and the need to make this process a lot quicker and easier. All the time, the fishing tackle is out of the water is time we have no chance of catching fish.Essentially all that is changing when you are changing lures, is the colour or the pattern on the lure. Normally you would want the lure to behave the same way when it is moving through the water.
To change a conventional fresh water lure it would take an experienced fisherman just over a minute. Obviously on a rocking boat the time to cut your line and attach a new lure would be considerably longer. We set about to reduce that time by 80% to 90% and to make it so much easier to change your tackle to maximise your opportunities to catch fish.
The team at zymbl have spent a considerable amount of time in designing and developing this remarkable newinnovation for the fishing industry. The new lures have been trialled extensively in the lakes and the sea in the abundantly rich waters around the Bay of Plenty in New Zealand. We have commenced and filed a world-wide patent on this product to protect our unique concept and design. So we can safely say that we have patent pending.

The key to this unique lure is there is no need to cut the line and search through your tackle box for an appropriate lure. It is a simple process to slide out the centre colour insert and then slide in a new one. Job is done and you can return to fishing within seconds. We at zymbl have completed extensive research to establish the most efficient designs to enable a fisherman to maximise their success on the water.
Based on Records from Fish and Game over a 100,000 fresh water licences were sold in year 2013 2014. The majority of these licences were sold in the South Island
Ministry of Fisheries released figures completed in a May 2010 survey, indicating that over19% of our population in New Zealand have actively participated in recreational fishing during the year. A recent limited survey indicated that recreational fisherman spend approximately 219.6 million dollarsin a single year targeting the catching of King Fish. A large proportion of that money would be spent on lures.
There are very limited statistics on recreational fishing available but it is safe to assume that the same percentage of our population or even more, would still be engaged in recreational fishing and that considerable money is spent on tackle, specifically lures every year.
Our market testing indicates that most keen fisherman would be very keen to include this new lure to their fishing arsenal, whether it is the fresh water lure or the sea lures.
After canvassing major fishing retailers and fishing experts in New Zealand we believe that potential sales in the first year for New Zealand could be close to these figures:-
This is assuming you engaged the services of a marketing company to distribute to retailers throughout New Zealand.
If the manufacturing was achieved overseas this manufacturing cost would be reduced significantly, thus allowing for increased profit.
The international market offers far greater opportunities and potential to market this lure. According to 2008 figures released by a leading lure manufacturer and distributor, based in Europe, the Europeanregionaccounted for 63 % of sales in the world market and the USA market was 26%.The rest of the world which included Australasia accounted for just 11%
This same manufacturing company, released a new lure on to the market in 2007. The company announced their international sales revenue for that one lure was in excess off one billion dollars over the initialtwelve months.
All though figures in New Zealand are encouraging the international market, as you can see offers spectacular opportunities.
