Creating a dynamic environment to empower whanau by facilitating the
discovery and exploration
of their ideas
ZYMBL INNOVATION LTD
This document outlines our strategic intent, and puts into context our principals’ thought leadership process; that is to establish a platform that promotes, encourages, enables and tests innovative ideas and bring them to realisation. Our experience of bringing to fruition an innovative idea was born out of the frustration our principal creator/inventor, Joe Te Kowhai, felt during the simple act of changing a fishing lure. The journey he took us on is the basis for creating Zymbl, a place to innovate and empower “outside the box” indigenous thinkers to develop great new products for the benefit of all.
Our strategic goals reflect our commitment to a high performing business aligned to a professional governance philosophy and a balanced management environment seen through a Māoriworld view.

Statement of Intent
This statement of intent is submitted by the board of
directors of Zymbl Innovation Ltd, an investment
innovation park (with knowledge, capital and a physical
site), pursuant to company constitution. It provides context
in regard to how each idea/innovation that enters the
innovation park can potentially incubate to become a fully
realised product using the Zymbl model of development if it
meets all criteria during the development process.
Goal 1: Realisation of existing site of ideas
Goal 2: Operate effective and efficient governance and management
Goal 3: Structure a framework for innovation growth and business.
Goal 4: Maximise return on investment from business development
Goal 5: Establish strategic relationships
Goal 6: Create sustainable employment opportunities
Goal 7: Support rangatahi (student) participation in science education
Zymbl is currently commercialising several anchor projects that have the potential to generate substantial revenue streams, including employment opportunities, in the coming years.
Statement of Responsibility
Zymbl Innovation Ltd is responsible for the prospective
financial statements contained in this document, including
the appropriateness of the assumptions underlying them.

Creating value for whanau by whanau
We have determined the limited partnership structure best suits our business model as there are more opportunities for our partners to benefit through that value chain.
As and when innovations are realised and ready for market, Zymbl will reach mutual agreement with the innovator on how to proceed with the commercialisation of their product. We believe this structure best accommodates innovator needs and Zymbl’s value proposition as well as providing the flexibility to allow us to meet the needs of our partnership arrangements.
We consider our financial goals are conservative, therefore any investment injection is likely to accelerate the achievement of those goals. Our goals are premised on creating a place to innovate outstanding examples of Māori entrepreneurial spirit.
